Maybe the loudest gig you’re going to be at this year, Berlin’s Sun Worship conquer the Knochenbox stage, supported by ambient doom duo Fausto Maijstral.

Sun Worship, a.k.a. the most unassuming looking metal band I have ever seen, destroyed everyone’s eardrums with a set played at exactly the same breakneck tempo throughout. They have a pretty loyal fanbase who came out in force on Saturday which was amazing to watch, from both front of stage and later back by the mixing desk once my ears started failing me. Someone joked with me afterwards that the best fans to have are metal fans, and based on that I’m inclined to agree.
