Impressed by their brand of impassioned punk rock, Gorilla Biscuits/Rivals Schools guitarist, Walter Schreifels, crossed the Pacific Ocean to mentor them through the recording of their 2010 full length, ‘Days Above Ground’. The 10 track album showed evidence of a band who’s members have dedicated nearly half their lives to writing, playing and touring the music that they love.

It’s this kind of dedication that the four members of Paper Arms pour into their writing. Crafting every song with a drive to create heartfelt music that will stand the test of time.

On its release, ‘Days Above Ground’ received widespread acclaim and quickly became a turning point in the band’s career. What followed was a string of tours with the likes of Strike Anywhere, Bridge & Tunnel, Leatherface and Samiam. Not to mention playing alongside bands like Hot Water Music, Against Me!, The Get Up Kids, Bouncing Souls, No Use For A Name, La Dispute and many more. The band was also added to the line up of high profile Australian festivals like Soundwave and the Big Day Out.

In July 2012 Paper Arms entered the studio to record their sophomore album. Armed with the lessons they learned from Schreifels, as well as the foundation of the past four years together, the new tracks bare the earmarks of a band at the height of it’s career, and ready for more. The album was mixed by Brian McTernan, (the man responsible for classic records from the likes of Hot Water Music, Thrice, Polar Bear Club and Texas Is The Reason – to name a few) and Paper Arms have never sounded better.

In 2013 they signed with UNCLE M RECORDS from Germany who have released THE SMOKE WILL CLEAR right in time for their first European tour. Their third record Great Mistakes was just released and they are now coming back to Europe for their second run of headline shows.

Also on the bill: Timeshares (USA), Astpai (AUT) and Resolutions (GER).

Timeshares is a punk rock band with roots tracing back to cold but peaceful upstate, New York. Just prior to their official formation in 2009, the burning desire for overpriced rent, constant traffic and personal debt found the members in loud and polluted downstate, New York. Since then, this hopelessly well-meaning group of four has been circling the country in a rusty ’89 Chevy van, staying up all night with the locals and occasionally writing songs.

They’re about to release their 2nd record Already Dead on the famous SideOneDummy Records. Straight forward, honest and a bit soulful, that’s how Timeshares flavoures their mainly midtempo punk rock. Fans of Elway, The Swellers, Nothington, Red City Radio and The Menzingers can’t let this band pass by.

Blasting out of a dirty basement, on the outer City limits of Vienna, comes the forward thinking, punk rock sound, of Austria’s very own, ASTPAI. Think, None More Black meets Angus Young meets Dan Yemin and you are in the right ballpark. The heavy rocking, Hardcore/Punk sound, intertwined with melody and sing-a-longs, from vocalist, Zock’s distinctive vocal style, offers a very personal and political view on modern life.
