ELA ORLEANS **organische Folktronica mit einer Mischung aus psychedelischem Blues, Bossa Nova und Afro-Pop** ELA ORLEANS ist auf kleiner Europatour und spielt nur dieses Konzert in Deutschland. Solltet ihr auf keinen Fall verpassen – musikalisches Kino der besonderen Art. ELA ORLEANS ist eine Multiinstrumentalistin mit stark ausgepraegter Neigung zu einer musikalischen LoFi-Aesthetik. In Polen geboren – siedelte sie irgendwann nach Glasgow und spaeter nach New York ueber und begann dort ihr musikalisches Schaffen zu professionalisieren. Sie veroffentlichte u.a. ein Album auf dem renommierten Label STAUBGOLD, von dem auch John Peel begeistert war – ihre aktuelle Doppel-LP “Tumult in the Clouds”, die fuer den DEAD ALBATROSS MUSIC PRIZE (alternativer Mercury Prize) nominiert wurde, ist beim schottischen Label CLAN DESTINE erschienen. Kollaborationen mit Jackie O Motherfucker and Kevin Shea, Dirty Beaches und US Girls and Slim Twig haben zunehmend die Aufmerksamkeit der internationalen Indie-Musikpresse geweckt und ihr mittlerweile einen gewissen Kultstatus verschafft. She left for Glasgow where she became member of Hassle Hound. They released a record on Staubgold, picked by John Peel for BBC1. In 2004 she moved to NYC, played w/ Jackie O Motherfucker and Kevin Shea (among others) then started releasing amazing solo works. Almost all of her releases sold out and caught the attention of the indie press (especially the split w/ her friends Dirty Beaches, US Girls and Slim Twig).
